Experienced Production Operators wanted in Tullamarine, VIC

• Located in Tullamarine VIC.
• Day Shift Available.
• Monday to Friday.

Our client is a global manufacturer of paints, coatings, and specialty materials. They operate globally, in 70 different countries. We are seeking for a production operator to join the team on a casual basis, with the opportunity to transition to permanent.

Successful applicants will also be trained to work in other areas such as packing paint related products when required, however the process and equipment is very similar in most areas.

About your new role / Key Responsibilities:

• Pay rate of $33.38hr including casual loading.
• Blend and color match coatings for customer needs.
• Record weights and volumes.
• Clean machines and accessories.
• Read production orders and accurately interpret volume and weight of required chemical ingredients.
• Pour or transfer product into containers by using spatulas, scrapers etc.
• Follow all prescribed operating and equipment handling procedures.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English and to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Candidate must have basic mathematical skills.
• Paint manufacturing and color matching experience is helpful but not required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• An interest to expand on skills and knowledge - willing to learn!
• Must be reliable and available to commit to Monday - Friday.
• Willing to assist the paint makers in day to day operations
• Strong attention to detail.
• Punctual and reliable.
